G EDUCATION: PRIVATE SCHOOL OWNER CALL ON THE GOVERNMENT FOR STANDARD EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM- JOLAOYE ADENIKE
A recent interaction with JOLAOYE ADENIKE , a proprietress of TEMREJ INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL EPE- LEKKI LAGOS.
The Nigerian system of education is very ineffective compared to other countries,in terms of preparing a skilled workforce for the society. Ineffective and outdated school curriculum is part of the problem. Nigeria also fall very short of the 25% quota of annual budget on education which makes our educational system not well funded, lacking of infrastructure and skilled teachers to train the coming generation.
Nigerian teachers are not skilled enough to produce a skilled work force for the economy. Part of the problem is the faulty educational system that produce the previous teachers. The Nigerian bureaucratic system in establishing a private establishment including schools had a lot of neck that has to be eradicated to make it start a business from corporate affairs commission to filing tax returns and revenue system which should all be done electronically. Another major problem is skilled well trained teachers to employ to give your school an edge in this very competitive educational sector. Therefore, no access to funding businesses in the country which also is a problem that hinders one's establishment. Lack of basic efficient and fast internet network which you have to provide by yourself which also is a source of concern. Following his statement in quote " I can say that I have been in educational system for all my life as a student learning and also through the years I have had experience teaching either at a community service or a youth corper serving my father's land. I have also taught in some reputable institution within Epe community and outside Epe which now I have established my own school called TEMREJ INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AT EPE which is almost four years by God's own doing.
In Temrej, an international academy standard is required, we are not just trying to give students the academy alone, we are also developing them for the future by teaching them the social and economic importance of the environment that the live in. We are not producing certified illiterates but raising great minds that can be the future leaders of tomorrow. Discipline is also a key aspect of our school. All in all, we try to raise children that parents can be proud of and to succeed in their various endeavours in life. You can contact TEMREJ INTERNALTIONAL SCHOOL EPE through this contact to know more about them 08060588215.
