CONTINUATION: After the sin of man(Genesis3:1-24), God had to device a way to relate with man, this was how the killing of animals and other sacrifice to purify man came up, meanwhile some had to be an intermediary between man and God despite the sacrifices, Moses is a good example of such, he played a role of mediator between man and God(Numbers 9:10, Numbers5:5-6). This shows that the killing of rams and all that means nothing to God(Psalm 50"read down' where God said that is priority is thanksgiving and not the killings of animals because if he needs he can get then, read the story of Abraham in Genesis how God provided a ram in place of his son).God is a consuming fire, you can not relate with him directly unless he chose you just as he chose Moses and Aaron(Psalm 105:26) also read (Exudos 33:11-23) How Moses found favour on the Lord's sight" God spoke face to face with him while he intercede for the people, that is also the role Jesus is playing today for the entire world in the sight of God the father(Revelation 5:1-14).
HOW DID JESUS PLAYED THE ROLE OF BLOOD SACRIFICE(ANIMAL SACRIFICE).
When you read the scripture from Leviticus to Numbers you will see how the killing of animals and burnt sacrifice came in for the atonement of human sin and why God instituted it then which people do practice ignorantly today in our world even up to the offering of drink as sacrifices people practice today started from the time of Jacob led to Moses( read the book of Genesis, Numbers 28:7) which people practice today as well before the coming of Jesus Christ which did put a stop to all that and made a way for mankind to relate with God directly(Hebrew10:19, John14:6), except only through Jesus Christ you can not see God, a fact if you tell yourself the truth after reading the reasons for those animals killed in the past as sacrifice and how Jesus enacted all and was even slain in the cross, that is and enactment of the slain ram(Revelation 5:6), before he was taken to heaven( Luke 24:50-52). Leviticus 1-9 explained the offering which is burnt sacrifice as a sweet savour unto the Lord "please Mark the word savour", verse 10 of that same chapter quoted that the sacrifice is a male sheep and goat without blemish, " blemish means without stain which signifies sin in human nature(read Revelation3:5, how Jesus clothed us with white raiment, it means how he cleans our sins, stain or blemish"). therefore, i want you to under line the word "Male" in the aforesaid chapter" male sheep and goat, not female' Leviticus 1:10-17 kept on calling these sacrifices sweet savour unto God, that shows that God had a plan for a savour to the world in other to please him always (Leviticus1-4 says and he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering and it shall be accepted for him to make an atonement" it means that the sins of the person will be transferred to the animal or burnt offering for atonement. Also when you you read the verse you will see God mentioning water, therefore, they need water for cleansing" you can also be refereed to Matthew3:1-17, you will see the person of John the baptist whom God used to prepare the way for our savour Jesus through water baptism. "HOW"? We shall read that in our next treatise.... The continuation of this topic. Comments are welcome.
